Llama Life, issue #13
Hey friends 👋
Welcome back to Llama Life, a newsletter with bite-sized productivity tips and some ‘Llama’ news.
Let’s get to it!
1. Bite-sized productivity tips
🎨 Ready to start a new habit?
Try a ‘Progress Map’.
Progress maps are a creative way to track and visualize progress.
Each map is a drawing that represents an overall goal, and is made up of individual ‘swirls’. See example here.
Every time you make progress, color in one ‘swirl’. You define what each ‘swirl’ represents eg 1 pound, 1 workout, 1 day etc.

🧹 Trouble getting chores done?
Organize a ‘power hour’ with a friend, also known as ‘chore swapping’.
Spend 1hr helping a friend do whatever they need help with, and then they spend 1hr with you doing the same (can be done over video chat). Here’s an example from someone who chore-swapped with their mom.
🤯 Overwhelmed leading up to the end of the year?
Figure out your 3 big rocks for this week. These are the 3 biggest things you MUST get done.
Imagine your week is an empty jar. By putting the 3 biggest rocks in first, gravel and sand can then fill the gaps around them, till the jar is full. If you put the gravel and sand in first, it will be much harder to fit your 3 big rocks in without the jar overflowing.
This paradigm shift from Stephen Covey, demonstrates how you can achieve the biggest things on your list, while managing the little things.

2. Llama news
Llama is a task manager that provides structure and focus to get work done.
🎁 New feature: Visual pie timer! You can now choose between seeing a ‘big-numbered countdown timer’, or a more visual pie timer. If you’re curious how the pie timer was developed, you can see its progress here.

Till next time, have a productive week!
